BIOGRAPHY OF
SHANNEN COLLINS

Shannen Collins is a graphic designer and web developer with a keen eye for simplicity. She has always had a passion for creating and hopes to one day show the world what she has to offer.
Shannen Collins was born and raised in Palmerston North, New Zealand. She has completed her Bachelor of Creative Media degree at UCOL (Universal College of Learning), which involved several community projects. These industry immersion projects included making informative posters for the Manawatū Community Law Centre, designing posters and doing video editing for the Palmerston North City Council and creating unique designs for a cultural wedding that represented the main couple.
For almost three years, she worked as a PhotoCentre Operator at Harvey Norman. In this position, she would manage the printer, assist customers with using the kiosks, do regular cashier duties, problem solve around any technical issues that arose and provide more time consuming services like scanning, canvases, posters and photoshopping restoration.
Currently, she is back into study at UCOL. She has completed the Diploma of IT Tech Support and is continuing on with the Bachelor of Information and Communications Technology, exploring further into the IT industry.
Perhaps one day, she will find a career where she can put her skills to good use, while still continuing to expand her knowledge and capabilities. She enjoys what she does, and would love to have a job she can truly enjoy.
"The simplest designs can tell the most complex stories"
